1st International Conference on The Next Phase of Sustainable Energy & Future



The 1st international conference on ‘The Next Phase of Sustainable Energy & Future’  has been  held at Ruposhi Bangla Hotel, Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 3rd June, 2014  is jointly organized by CMEC Renewable Energy and Solarland Bangladesh Co. Ltd

The chair of chief guest was ornamented by Mr. Nasrul Hamid MP, the honorable State Minister of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The honorable special guests of the conference will be Advocate Nurjahan Begum Mukta MP, Ex.Deputy Attorney General Supreme court and Dr. M Rezwan Khan, Vice Chancellor, United International University. And the other honorable guests will be Mr. Li Jun, Ambassador, Embassy of The People’s Republic of China to Bangladesh, Mr. John, President, CMEC Renewable Energy, Mr. Han Li, Chairman, Solarland, Weidong Xue (Benny), Managing Director, Solarland Bangladesh, Md. Afzal Hossain, Deputy Managing Director, Solarland Bangladesh.

Multimedia presentation session was presented jointly by Md. Jamil Rayhan and Mr. Sujoy Kumer Saha from Solarland Bangladesh Co., Ltd.

To speak about Sustainable Energy it can be said that, energy sources that will allow the Earth to sustain balanced, healthy ecosystems and human life is called sustainable energy. It refers to solar energy (solar panels & photovoltaic windows), wind energy (wind turbines/wind farms), some forms of water (hydro), and some biomass fuels. Technologies that promote sustainable energy include renewable energy sources, such as hydroelectricitysolar energywind energywave powergeothermal energyartificial photosynthesistidal power and also technologies designed to improve energy efficiency.

The theme of the conference is ‘Better Ways towards the Green World’.

This conference was organized for discussing about the prospects of sustainable energy worldwide and also in perspective of Bangladesh. Some exposure was given about the newer products and updated technology from organiser’s nests.
